Urgent Need for Pressure on Vote
Community Choice has been working its way through City Hall since 1999 (see Legal Timeline for complete history). To fulfill the public mandate for rapid development of renewable energy and conservation in San Francisco, the Board of Supervisors unanimously decided to become a Community Choice city in 2004. Yet it's now 2007, we've seen the devastation of Hurricane Katrina with our own eyes, and we still don't have the policy fully implemented. The Community Choice Aggregation Alliance of San Francisco has been diligently working this policy through City Hall, but our elected officials need to hear from you. A final vote to implement this law is expected in May 2007. Let the Mayor and Supervisors know that they have your support in prioritizing this policy. Take action now!
